Pickleball Court Destroyed by City Council, Bill Sent to Resident Who Built It

Manny Cypers spent $10K building a Pickleball court behind his home but it turns out it was on city property not HOA property like the neighborhood thought. The court has been there for 5 years and the city didn’t know about it. In September 2025 Cypers made a presentation before the South Ogden, Utah City Council asking to lease the property from the city for a $1 to keep the court that people from all over the neighborhood enjoyed using. The city struck it down and made plans to remove the court which happened last week. Cypers will receive a bill from the city for removing the Pickleball court.
